Installation Process
Tools Required
- Utility Knife
- Plastic Scraper
- Measuring Tape, Steel Ruler
- Hair Dryer
- Needles, Sandpaper, Cleaning Cloth, and Construction Gloves
Step-by-Step Installation
1. Surface Preparation
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from stains or grease. This directly affects the installation quality.
- If the surface has any bumps or nail holes, apply putty and sand them down.
- For cement walls, apply a layer of clear oil to secure the bond between the wall and putty.
2. Measuring
- Measure the surface area of the object to be covered, including length and width.
3. Cutting the Film
- Cut the decorative film according to the measurements, ensuring to add 2-4 cm extra on all sides for easier application.
4. Application
- Start by lightly applying the film to the top edge of the surface, aligning it parallel to the edge.
- Gradually move the film down while using a plastic scraper to smooth the surface, making sure to remove any wrinkles or air bubbles as you go.
5. Air Bubble Handling
- For larger bubbles, use a hair dryer to heat the film, peel it off gently, and reapply.
- For smaller bubbles, you can prick the bubble with a needle and smooth it out using the scraper after the application is complete.
