Case Study:
Outdoor Decorative Film Application
Project Date: 2022
Background
Traditional decorative films are typically designed for indoor use. When exposed to outdoor environments, sunlight can cause the color of the printed layer to fade and lead to aging or deformation of the laminated surfaces. To meet the growing demand for outdoor decoration, we embarked on developing a weather-resistant decorative film suitable for outdoor conditions.
Solution
Through extensive research and testing, we successfully launched our specialized outdoor weather-resistant decorative film in 2022. This product uses PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) or PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) for the outer layer, allowing infrared light to pass through. The base layer includes special pigments that reflect infrared rays, significantly reducing the amount of heat absorbed by the film and minimizing the temperature difference between the inner and outer surfaces of the substrate.
Advantages

UV and Heat Resistance: The weather-resistant film helps reduce substrate heating, preventing deformation caused by high temperatures and enhancing structural stability.

Extended Lifespan: The material experiences minimal aging under intense sunlight, considerably extending the service life of the decorative film.

Versatile Outdoor Applications: Suitable for building facades, outdoor furniture, and other outdoor scenarios, adding new possibilities for exterior design.
Result
Real-world applications have proven the outdoor weather-resistant decorative film’s outstanding stability across various challenging environments. The success of this product not only fills a market gap but has also received positive feedback from clients. We look forward to continuing our innovations to meet even more outdoor decorative needs, providing valuable solutions for our customers.
